$81,826 Santa Anita Pick 6 – March 11th
Thursday’s pick six from Santa Anita Park includes two grass races and features a carryover of more than $81k. The synthetic sprint feature figures to be run at a rapid pace, and classy route to sprint runner Domonation could be the one to pick up the pieces. Sunny skies are expected with a high temperature of 70. My suggested tickets can be found at the bottom of this post following analysis.
Pick 6 blog has been growing in popularity on a daily basis, and I would like to thank everyone for making this site a success. I will continue to feature the Southern California Pick 6, along with select carryovers from across the country.
Degree of Difficulty: Competitive. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Thursday pick six from Santa Anita rates a 7.
Possible Singles: Raging Wit (6th race), Sweet Patricia (8th race)
Jarrod Horak’s Santa Anita Pick 6 analysis – Thursday, March 11, 2010
Santa Anita Race 3 (Mcl-32k, 3yo fil, 5f) Wide open maiden claiming sprint to kick off the carryover festivities. #10 Stormy Linda (4-1) is a $45k Keeneland sales grad with a productive and profitable jockey-trainer team in her corner. Nice gate move on Feb 17th. #9 Warrens Royal Lady (9-2) has the experience edge but has yet to find a running style. Maybe her new jock can figure her out. #6 Hot Nurse (12-1) and #8 Massive Reaction (9-2) have shown some morning ability, and we shall see if that translates to afternoon results.
Santa Anita Race 4 (Clm-40k, f&m 4up, 6.5T) #3 Alpine Yodel (5-1) has that good route speed that works so well down the dip. Back in for a tag and could sit right stalking trip. #5 Royal Taat (5-2) is out of the turf stakes ranks. She used to win races and will be finishing fast. #2 Stash (3-1) exits sharp synthetic sprint wire job, and magic Mike has her now. Expect aggressive handling under Tyler Baze. Speedy miss on the board in 3 of 4 turf sprint starts. #6 Carnival Queen is 1 for 19 on turf, and #7 Dash Dot Dash is winless in 8 turf tries, so I’ll try to beat that duo on the win end.
Santa Anita Race 5 (MSW, 3yo fil, 6f) #6 Saltendipity (3-1) landed place in both outings but ran better in bow. Might be best with a target to chase. #8 Rebecca (5-2) is working like she means business for her bow for a profitable debut special weight outfit.
Santa Anita Race 6 (Alw-1x, 3yo, 8T) #2 Raging Wit (5-2) looms the class play in here. Was run off his feet by Sidney’s Candy last time. Faced quality stakes foes in both turf outings, and he made a move and flattened out each time. Expect Gomez to bide his time in this spot. #3 Majestic Afleet (3-1) finished a troubled 4th in lone turf try over the downhill course. Attracts solid turf jock and worked well the other day. The rail post has been poison (1 for 47) at a flat mile on the grass, and morning line fav Line of David will break from the hedge today. Donned the hood and stole latest, and I am expecting him to get some pace pressure today.
Santa Anita Race 7 (Alw-1x, 3yo, 6.5f) #7 Quiet Invader (6-1) made a middle move before getting trounced by Sidney’s Candy last time. I liked him that day, along with Raging Wit (see 6th race), and maybe one or both can make amends today. Probably stalks a fast pace today. #5 Domonation (7-2) is best as a late running sprinter, and he gets plenty of heat in the paper race. Has a touch of class as he faced stakes foes in last three. It is usually a good sign when a returnee pops up with a career top in his 3yo bow, and such was the case with #4 Lions Story (9-2). Figures to stalk the pace for top connections. #2 Hurricane Ike (9-2) fired big shots in both non-graded outings. Another contender in a competitive affair.
Santa Anita Race 8 (Mcl-32k, 3yo fil, 5f) An above par pace seems likely in the finale. #5 Sweet Patricia (3-1) went to the lead in Del Mar bow, but pace was not super quick, and I am looking for a stalking trip in her return for a razor sharp layoff/2nd timer barn. Took some action in aforementioned bow, and winner came back to score. Not much to topple. In a tough sequence, I will single her on both tickets and take my chances.

Santa Anita Recap – March 10th
One Shot ($8.80) began the Wednesday festivities with a wire job tally under Santiago Reyes. James Barnes was the winning conditioner.
Another coast to coast winner in the 2nd as Born To Shop ($7.80) graduated for Amador/Periban.
Pick 6 time, and my value oriented 3rd choice Nitro Active ($12.60) got up to beat purse nibbling fav Cavanal in this flat mile grass claimer. Garrett Gomez guided home the Doug O’Neill trainee.
Even money Budget Ticket single Free Flying Soul failed to grab the early lead and just did land the show. No worries for the big spenders as the Big Ticket offered up 5-2 winner Quisisana (Bejarano-Puype).

Santa Anita Pick 6 – March 10th
Wednesday’s pick six from Santa Anita Park includes three grass races and a stakes quality synthetic sprint. In the latter event, Free Flying Soul, 3rd in the Grade 1 Santa Monica on Jan 31st, will try to hold off Sunshine Millions winner Quisisana. Partly cloudy and windy conditions are expected with a high temperature of 66. My suggested tickets can be found at the bottom of this post following analysis.

Possible Singles: Free Flying Soul (4th race), Pink Blossom (6th race), L’Enchanteresse (8th race)
Jarrod Horak’s Santa Anita Pick 6 analysis – Wednesday, March 10, 2010
Santa Anita Race 3 (Clm-25k, 4up, 8T) #6 Mind The Minister (4-1) ran a better than expected 2nd in a local synthetic route last time. Both wins on turf and owns running style versatility. #3 Cavanal (5-2) lacks a winning spirit, but that seems to be the case with many of these. Consistent finisher owns the numbers to down this crew. #4 Nitro Active (9-2) drops to lowest level and hails from a sharp blinkers off outfit. Lone turf win at this flat mile distance. #1 Polonius (4-1) is a pace player at the very least, but the rail post (1 for 46) has been dreadful in flat mile turf races.
Santa Anita Race 4 (Alw-53k, f&m 4up, 6f) #5 Free Flying Soul (8-5) battled on pace and finished 3rd in a 7f grade one last time, and place finisher Proviso came back to beat the boys in the grassy Kilroe (G1). This is her fav oval, and class/speed a deadly combo, especially controlling pace at a speed friendly distance. Working well for this. #2 Quisisana (5-2) has never been better and will be tracking my top from the outset. She is 3 for 3 at this distance and goes for the hat trick today.
Santa Anita Race 5 (MSW, CA-bred 3up, 8T) #5 Excess Power (5-1) broke 10th and ended up an even 5th of 14 in local synthetic sprint bow. In Excess is a fine grass sire, and Rosario sticks with the improvement candidate. #3 Unusually Sound (5-2) rallied for the place from an outer post in local course/distance bow, and show finisher came back to score. Barn solid with 2nd timers, and the gelded son of Unusual Heat is a contender right back. #7 Bud I Crushed It (7-2) ran into the likes of subsequent graded winners Alphie’s Bet and Caracortado in his last pair. Barn excels with this type of layoff runner, and he looms a prominent throughout player. #8 Teafatiller (4-1) was nosed out of the show in same race Unusually Sound exits, and that was his first start since Dec ’08. Every right to move up today.
Santa Anita Race 6 (OC-80/1x, 3yo fil, 6f) #4 Pink Blossom (5-2) earned strong pace figs in 7f bow, and she did all of the dirty work in a dueling place finish in first start versus winners. Speed strong at this distance recently, and look out if she shakes loose early. #3 Haggai (4-1) exits a productive downhill stakes affair, and her best race was a sharp win in local synthetic bow. Has hot connections in her corner and should go better on surface switch 3rd off the shelf. #2 Hopeful Union (3-1) was a professional stalking winner at first asking and has plenty of upside. Barn does well with recent graduates trying winners for first time.
Santa Anita Race 7 (Clm-50k, 4up, 6.5T) #1 Ron Bob And Dave (9-2) owns fine early-pressing speed and has been part of exacta in all four downhill tries. Bejarano hops aboard as Talamo opts for returnee #2 Hewitts (6-1). The latter went all the way in a downhill sprint (Jan ’09) under today’s pilot, and he’s working well for this. #7 Noblety (7-2) is a must use because his tactical speed frequently puts him in a position to win, and note that he has tallied in 3 of last 4. Enjoys the hillside course.
Santa Anita Race 8 (Mcl-32k, 3yo fil, 8f) #4 L’Enchanteresse (6-5) was right on the winning par for this in turf route place finish last time. Surface switching special weight dropper dons the hood and should be forwardly placed for quality connections. Does not meet much. #1 This Time Baby (4-1) continues to slowly improve, and she split the field in a local route last time. Rail post strong at this distance, and I would not be surprised if she was aggressively handled in this spot.

Santa Anita Recap – March 7th
Popular wire job by Good Measure ($2.80) to get the Sunday card off and running. Espinoza was up for Carla Gaines.
Chalk early double with Saxophone ($6) tallying in the 2nd for Pedroza/Canani.
Pokomoke ($11) rallied for the win in the extended sprint 3rd for Quinonez/Mullins.
Off the turf to begin the pick six, and Budget Ticket single and heavy fav Red Sun ($3.80) held off Guns On The Table by a neck. Used the runner-up on the Big Ticket, and many would have been eliminated, but no dice. Show finisher Calmonco was my turf top, and he grabed a piece at 16-1.
Typical two lifetime claimer in the 5th as five were bunched up at the wire, and my contender Marquet Rebel missed by a head. Pacific Halo ($24.20) was the upset winner for Tyler Baze and Tim Rosier.
Went for the experienced runners in the 6th, but the first timers dominated with Jaws n’ Paws ($31.80) rallying for the victory. Talamo booted home the Koriner trainee. I thought my top She’s Here Now would show the way, but she rallied for 4th following a troubled beginning.
Off the weeds for the Joe Hernandez Stakes, and synthetic specialist Sangaree ($10.20) got his preferred footing for Garcia/Baffert. My turf top Gallant Son ran much better than expected to land the place.
Went two deep in the 8th, and that was enough as dropper Kanan Dume ($7.20) rallied to score for Espinoza/Mandella.
Did not use obvious contender Uncle Don ($6.40) in the finale because he had a weak turn time in latest outing, but he found a field he could handle and cruised under Rosario. Richard Rosales was the winning conditioner. If Red Sun had dropped the opening leg, we were probably looking at another carryover…almost!

$207,271 Santa Anita Pick 6 Carryover – March 7th
Sunday’s pick six from Santa Anita Park includes a pair of downhill sprints and features a pick six carryover of more than $200k. The projected pool should exceed a cool million! The recent programs have been competitive, and the Sunday card is no exception. There is a 30% chance of AM showers with a high temperature of 68. My suggested tickets can be found at the bottom of this post following analysis.

Jarrod Horak’s Santa Anita Pick 6 analysis – Sunday, March 6, 2010
Santa Anita Race 4 (OC-62.5/1x, 4up, 6.5T) Mott finally broke through with a win yesterday, and he has #5 Calimonco (12-1) in the opening leg of the pick six. Finished a close-up 3rd at this course/distance on Jan 9th, and there is plenty of pace in the paper race to set up his stretch kick. Gomez strings along. #6 Coronet of a Baron (5-1) receives a rider upgrade to Rosario, and the $550k purchase finished 3rd in the BC Juvenile Turf, so he can handle the weeds. Best around one turn and earned triple digit late pace figs in last three. #4 Red Sun (9-5) opted out of yesterday’s Grade 1 Kilroe in favor of this easier hillside spot. He’s 2 for 2 down the dip and should make presence felt throughout. Could easily make it four straight. #10 Guns On The Table (8-1) is graded placed on the downhill course. Working well for recently hot Garcia/Baffert team.
Santa Anita Race 5 (Clm-12.5/2L, 4up, 8.5f) #1 Country Tough (9-2) returns to a preferred synthetic route and reunites with winning pilot Gomez. Only two good efforts here, and he’ll be finishing at a hint of a price. #8 Marquet Rebel (4-1) hails from a cold barn, but he exits a fast race for the level and does well routing. #3 Phantom Strike (4-1) stretches out off the shelf for high % outfit (22% blinkers off), and he sports a bullet for this. Bejarano hops aboard as well.
Santa Anita Race 6 (MSW, 3yo fil, 6f) #1 She’s Here Now (4-1) might have been a tad short in local bow as she set the pace and weakened to 4th. Barn excels with 2nd timers, and the $170k Keeneland sales grad sports three solid local drills for this. #9 Misinjennuous (4-1) was necked as the heavy fav in Del Mar bow. Works solid enough for 1st start in 7+ months, and she has the 38% Bejarano/Sadler team in her corner. #11 Appealing Afare (3-1) rallied to finish a solid 2nd in local 7-2 bow. Garcia/Baffert on a roll together recently, and barn does fine work with 2nd timers.
Santa Anita Race 7 (Joe Hernandez, 4up, 6.5T) Pace should be honest with half the field boasting early-pressing credentials. #4 Gallant Son (12-1) hates synthetic ground, so toss his six plastic races and you’re left with five wins and a 2nd from seven outings. Placed in a local graded turf route on opening day under today’s jock Mike Smith, and he could finish full of run down the dip. #7 Dance With Gable (3-1) is 2 for 2 over the hillside course, and I liked his finishing kick stalking the pace last time. Projects a similar trip today. #1 Victor’s Cry (9-2) closed with a rush off the shelf at this course and distance last time. Continues to train forwardly and will be rolling from behind once again.
Santa Anita Race 8 (Clm-25/2L, 4up, 6f) Numerous suspect speedsters could set things up for a patient runner. #1 Stray Cat (5-1) is back in for a tag and switches surfaces for Headley. Broke maiden in a local Pro-Ride sprint, and he’ll be finishing under new pilot Mike Smith. Typically not a bullet worker, so you have to like the looks of his energetic local move on March 1st. #5 Kanan Dume (8-1) drops, switches surfaces, and turns back for the productive Espinoza/Mandella team. He can fire a fresh shot.
Santa Anita Race 9 (Mcl-25k, 4up, 6f) Headley seems primed for a productive day, and he sends over special weight dropper #10 Prarie Falcon (8-1) in the finale. Continues to impress in morning activity and should make presence felt throughout at this level. #4 Best Plan (8-1) finished an even 5th in much needed return. Bejarano is 2 for 2 with Marty Jones recently, and the 5yo gelding almost has to improve. #6 Delago (4-1) could not get out of his own way in a troubled extended sprint journey from post 11 last time. Dons the hood and deserves another chance.

Santa Anita Recap – March 6th
Gonna cut to the chase and get right to the pick six action in this abbreviated rewind of the Big Cap card…
Got off to a good start in the pick six with maiden no more Make Music For Me ($15.40). Blinkers and turf did the trick, and note that he has plenty of graded earnings for the Derby if connections go in that direction. Mike Smith booted home the Alexis Barba trainee in the $60k Pasadena Stakes.
Alphie’s Bet ($19) gave the Alexis Barba barn a stakes double with a sharp off the pace tally in the Grade 3 Sham Stakes. Guess barn has two Derby players now! Alex Solis rode the winner. My top pick Setsuko did not have the smoothest journey in a clear place finish. I like the Mandella runner-up as a long range prospect.
I have never been on the Blind Luck bandwagon, and she just did get up to beat me last time. Picked her 2nd again today, and she finished well but failed to get the job done. I fancied Sadler trainee Cozi Rosie, but her stablemate Crisp ($13.60) sat the right stalking trip to grab the candy in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks. As for my top, she’s best as a closer, but she tracked the tepid pace and weakened to 5th today. Blind Luck wants more ground. Joel Rosario was the winning pilot.
Called the Grade 1 Kilroe as Proviso ($11.40) got her nose down on the line to beat an unlucky Fluke. The latter did all of the pace dirty work and deserved a better fate. Mike Smith guided home the Mott/Juddmonte runner.
No dice in the Big Cap as my two contenders failed to fire. Misremembered ($10.80) fell into the perfect tracking trip behind speedster Mast Track, and he had enough in the tank to hold off Neko Bay. Martin Garcia booted home the Baffert trainee. St Trinians flattened out, and Loup Breton did not seem to handle the footing.
11th and final went to my 2nd choice Crash Landing ($10). Talamo guided home the Marty Jones trainee. Ended up with 3 wins, a 2nd, and a 3rd on both tickets in the difficult sequence. No one had all six, so the Sunday pool gets a $200k jump start.

Santa Anita Pick 6 – Big Cap Day
Saturday’s pick six from Santa Anita Park includes four graded races. The feature event is the Grade 1 Big Cap, and it could turn into a match race between classy turfer Loup Breton and talented distaffer St Trinians. There is a 60% chance of showers with a high temperature of 62.
On a scale of 1 to 10, the Saturday pick six from Santa Anita rates a 7.
Possible Singles: Setsuko (7th race), Proviso (9th race), Loup Breton (10th race)

Jarrod Horak’s Santa Anita Pick 6 analysis – Saturday, March 6, 2010
Santa Anita Race 6 (Pasadena Stakes, 3yo, 8T) #10 High Success (8-1) has been part of exacta in all 5 synthetic sprints and goes for a four-bagger today. Bred well enough to handle sod and will be finishing. #3 Macias (9-5) has won 2 straight over the local weeds, and note that he has scored twice on synthetic should this race be transferred. Stalking trip likely for the Baffert trainee. #4 Alfarabi (3-1) had his speed fig dip in a turf win last time, and he finished less than a length behind Macias before that. #7 Make Music For Me (9-2) is a maiden with a bankroll of more than $200k. Three graded placings on synthetic last year, and barn enjoying fine meet. Barba 22% first turf and 40% blinkers on, and sire 17% first grass.
Santa Anita Race 7 (Grade 3 Sham, 3yo, 9f) #7 Setsuko (7-2) rallied for place on weeds last time, but he’s better on synthetic. Earned triple digit late pace figs in last four all-weather starts, and Bejarano chose him over #9 Nextdoorneighbor (3-1). The latter looked good in local synthetic route maiden breaker. Should continue to progress and looms a factor in stakes bow.
Santa Anita Race 8 (Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks, 3yo fil, 8.5f) I have been keeping an eye on #7 Cozi Rosie (5-1), and this is a good spot to get some value on the improving router. She is 2 for 2 at this course/distance, and the long winded sort probably wants more ground than this. Sadler trainee will be finishing under regular pilot Mike Smith. #5 Blind Luck (1-2) is an obvious class play with three grade one route wins under her belt. Overcame a tepid pace to get up at a flat mile last time, and she will have to run better to beat my top.
Santa Anita Race 9 (Grade 1 Kilroe Mile, 4up, 8T) #8 Proviso (8-1) was competitive versus the like of Goldikova and won five times in overseas grass events. Been on a synthetic stakes diet since arriving in the US, and I thought she ran great behind a tepid pace last time. #2 Blue Chagall (4-1) disappointed as the fav versus similar last time, but I’ll toss that effort as he never seemed to find his groove. Both ’09 turf wins from today’s rail post, and the Canani runner is capable of showing much more. #5 Ever A Friend (3-1) is 3 for 3 over the local weeds, and he won the ’08 renewal of this event. Fragile 7yo consistently runs his early-pressing race. #9 Fluke (7-2) beat Ever a Friend in the Grade 1 Citation when last seen across town. I have always liked #7 Monzante (8-1), and I have to give him a longshot stretch look for Gomez/Mitchell. Handles any footing. #6 Red Alert Day (20-1) was a nose shy of Monzante on Jan 14th, and Bejarano strings along.
Santa Anita Race 10 (Grade 1 Santa Anita Hcp, 4up, 10f) Most of these simply are not ten furlong horses and/or grade one material. #6 Loup Breton (4-1) exudes turf class, and he could easily inhale these if able to handle synthetic footing. Has been working over the Pro-Ride surface since Nov. ’09, and I am looking for another big effort under Gomez. Canani is a profitable 25% all-weather trainer, and I’ll trust the veteran conditioner on the surface switch. #2 St Trinians (7-2) has cruised in all four US starts, and she’s an obvious threat if able to navigate ten furlongs. She’s 3 for 3 over Pro-Ride footing and meets a mostly suspect group of older males.
Santa Anita Race 11 (Clm-12/5/2L, 4up, 6f) #12 Hasty Trend (8-1) has never raced this low, and I find it interesting that Bejarano takes the call. In six starts together, the jockey-trainer comb have produced two wins and five top three finishes. #1 Crash Landing (4-1) has been rotating between outer and inner posts recently, and he’s back on the rail today. Versatile sort has been flashing speed recently. #10 Hovig (7-2) drops and switches surfaces for 26% layoff trainer Mike Mitchell. One of many with speed, and I would not be shocked if one jumped out and wired the field.

Santa Anita Recap – March 5th
Eternally Fast ($5.20) went all the way in the Friday opener for Talamo/Carava.
Enchanting Moment ($10.60) got up by a nose in the 2nd for Talamo/Spawr.
No dice in the opening leg of the pick six as professional maiden Sister Lucy ($9.40) beat my value first timer Devil’s Mate. Pedroza booted home the Denise Breuer trainee.
Down the dip for the 4th, and my contenders ran 1-2 with Warrens Summergold ($7.40) getting the job done for Santiago Reyes/Gutierrez.
Tough beat in the 5th as I was a close-up 2-3 behind upset nostril winner Tiz a Knight ($59.60). Espinoza guided home the son of Tiznow for Ron Ellis.
Ran 1-2-3 in the 6th with Spot The Diplomat ($7.40) edging my top Spirit of Cochise by a nose. Mike Smith booted home the Jeff Mullins runner.
No luck in the downhill feature as Tanda ($4.60) kicked clear like a fav should. Solis booted home the winner for Dan Hendricks.
Bombs away in the finale with first timer Dubai X Y Z ($106.80) lighting up the tote for Hunt/Tsagalakis. On a normal day the pool would have carried, but with a double carryover it was hit as expected. Someone walked away with a cool $550k.

$332,613 Santa Anita Pick 6 Carryover – March 5th
Friday’s pick six from Santa Anita Park includes a pair of downhill sprints and features a carryover of more than $300k. The pool should easily exceed a million dollars, and the sequence looks tough to hit. Partly cloudy skies are expected with a high temperature of 68. My suggested tickets can be found at the bottom of this post following analysis.

Degree of Difficulty: Competitive. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Friday pick six from Santa Anita rates a 7.5.
Possible Singles: Simply Put (3rd race), Warrens Summergold (4th race), Sonofablur (8th race)
Jarrod Horak’s Santa Anita Pick 6 analysis – Friday, March 5, 2010
Santa Anita Race 3 (Mcl-25k, f&m 4up, 5f) #2 Devil’s Mate (4-1) debuts for the crafty Janet Armstrong, and she is working well for this. Barn a profitable 16% with firsters, and the $145k purchase could easily be a runner. #5 Simply Put (9-5) returns for the recently hot Sadler barn, and Bejarano rode her well 2nd time out. Works say she’s ready to roll off an 8+ month rest. #9 Humble Maggie Go (8-1) finished a respectable 3rd of 9 in local bow, and she could move forward for 26% 2nd timer outfit.
Santa Anita Race 4 (Str-Alw, 4up, 6.5T) #8 Proud Hillbilly (5-1) is out of a 29% first grass barn and receives a rider upgrade to Gomez. Nothing wrong with outside stalkers down the dip. #4 Warrens Summergold (5-1) was in the photo in both synthetic sprint outings, and he earned above par speed rating last time. Bred well enough for sod and projects a stalking trip under hustling apprentice Santiago Reyes. #7 Full On (7-2) was part of a four way photo versus similar Pro-Ride foes last time. Likes to battle on the pace and might take to aggressive handling. Dam has tossed a turf winner.
Santa Anita Race 5 (MSW, 3yo, 8.5f) #8 Spring Forth (8-1) earned triple digit late pace fig after blowing the break in sprint bow. Barn 20% first lasix, and 20% route jock Rosario hops aboard. Bred to route and could move up big time. #6 Saw Perfection (4-1) has flashed talent on the weeds for recently hot Mandella barn. Gomez ends up here, and he’s a prominent throughout threat on the surface switch. Blinkers on. #13 Stephen’s Got Hope (6-1) experienced a troubled journey off the O’Neill claim last time. Bred to love a route of ground and deserves another chance to strut his stuff around two turns.
Santa Anita Race 6 (OC-25/1x, CA-bred 4up, 6f) I liked #7 Spirit of Cochise (7-2) last time, and he ran well to garner the place under his fav pilot Rosario. He’s best at six panels. #1 Scofield Barracks (6-1) got up by ahead off the shelf last time, and he gets pace to chase in this spot. Working well for this and is a stretch player if able to avoid a regression. #5 Spot The Diplomat (4-1) was nabbed out of last by 28% claiming artist Jeff Mullins. Has been right there in six straight, but note that he is only 2 for 28 on synthetic.
Santa Anita Race 7 (OC-80/1x, 3yo fil, 6.5T) #8 Cash Queen Anna (5-1) sports competitive overseas class ratings, and she fired in all five turf sprint starts against full fields. Gomez hops aboard the live transplant. #3 Elusive Galaxy (5-2) ran well in all three turf sprint starts in Ireland. Weakened in last two flat mile stakes tries (Woodbine, Santa Anita), and the fresh miss turns back and is working well for this.
Santa Anita Race 8 (Mcl-32k, 3yo, 6.5f) #1 Sonofablur (7-2) was up for the show in his first start for a tag last time. O’Neill 22% blinkers off, and added ½ furlong helps. Bejarano a profitable 22% with this outfit, and he sports a bullet for this. #10 Summers At Delmar (2-1) is back in for a tag, and Canani is 44% with special weight droppers. Now or never time for the stretch runner.
