$54,627 Belmont Park Pick 6 – Sept 12

Saturday (9-11-10) Belmont Park Recap

A pair of wire jobs in the five main track races. Wire job in the lone inner turf sprint, and the lone inner turf route (marathon) was taken by patient type Al Khali. Stalking types won both Widener turf sprints, and the lone Widener route was nabbed by a mid-pack runner.

Alan Garcia, Cornelio Velasquez, and John Velazquez each booted home a pair. Bruce Levine saddled two winners, and Rajiv Maragh/Christophe Clement teamed up for a pair of grass winners.

Al Khali overcame trouble to beat Winchester in the Grade 2 Bowling Green Handicap, and thanks to the Mott trainee I garnered my 3rd straight Exacta triumph in my video plays of the week.

On the ticket front I tabbed three Primary (Indian Bob, Sky Blue Pink, Al Khali) and one Secondary (High Prize) winner on opening day.
