Other than the always fluky BC Marathon, speed was kind on the main track at Santa Anita on Friday. Let’s see if that trend continues on BC Saturday.

Both south American runners actually looked good to me until I saw that Calidoscopio won a hell of a lot more money.

Calidoscopio raced against Mr. Nedawi and Expressive Halo several times and beat them both in the same race. A nine year old used to carrying 132 to 134 pounds and probably feeling years younger today.

I took two in the Sprint. Sweet Shirley Mae and High Tail. Both raced against Bern Identity which won 3 of 5 and 426,000 dollars. I thought High Tail’s beyers were pretty good as a 2 year old in June.
