Jarrod Horak’s Del Mar Pick 6 analysis – Thursday, September 3, 2009
Del Mar Race 3 (Mcl-32k, 2yo fil, 6f) #10 Organic (3-1) earned improved pace figs 2nd time out, and she can move forward 2nd off the shelf. #5 Goldenh Medina (7-2) broke slow in 4th place bow, and she rallied for the place from 12-hole last time. #2 Private Valentine (5-2) was a length behind Goldenh Medina in local bow and is a live 2nd timer.
Del Mar Race 4 (Clm-50k, f&m 4up, 8T) #4 Burna Dette (6-1) hails from the profitable Eurton barn and drops in class off the layoff. Bejarano strings along. #5 Wixkednwackyingrid (3-1) seeks the local hat trick on the surface switch, and she’s a 2-time turf winner.
Del Mar Race 5 (Mcl-80k, 2yo, 6f) #4 Pico Pico (9-5) ran well in both local maiden claiming outings. #6 Ministerfrommiami (10-1) earned a competitive speed rating in local $40k event 2nd time out, and he was nabbed out of that heat by 25% claiming artist Art Sherman.
Del Mar Race 6 (Clm-25/2L, 3up, 6f) #1 Jazzandthemagician (9-2) drops and shows up in the Mitchell barn off a layoff. #7 Deputy Flyer (5-1) drops and cuts back in distance for profitable Valdivia/Ellis team. #6 Point Attended (3-1) drops and should make presence felt throughout 3rd off the shelf. #5 Deep Pockets (6-1) is offered for $25k, and that was the claimed price in March. Dons the hood and retains Gomez.
Del Mar Race 7 (Daisycutter Hcp, f&m 3up, 5T) #1 Cape of Bradford (4-1) scratched yesterday in favor of this. Espinoza hops off #4 Queen ofthe Catsle (2-1) in favor of the inside wire job threat. #2 Reba Is Tops (9-5) runs well fresh and has been part of the exacta in all five grass starts.
Del Mar Race 8 (Mcl-25k, 3up, 8.5f) Don’t pick Van Berg on top often, but #4 Panda (5-1) looks live in here. Earned best last race speed rating in local route on Aug 5th, and Bejarano hops aboard. #3 Truly A Delight (8-1) improved over a route of ground in clear place finish last time. #7 Forza Del Destino (6-1) showed marked improvement in same race my top exits. Looms a pace factor under hustling apprentice. #11 Marcade (6-1) was beaten fav here last out. Can rebound for Rosarioi/Sadler.
