Fairplex Park Pick 6 – Sept 28th

Monday represents the (Day 15) closing day Pick 6 from Fairplex Park. No carryover as the final day has a mandatory payout. The Pick 9 also has to be paid out, and that pool does have a carryover of $155,381. I have posted Pick 9 analysis and tickets on my Thoroughbred Fever blog.

Pick 6 blog has been growing in popularity on a daily basis, and I would like to thank everyone for making this site a success. I will continue to feature the Southern California Pick 6, along with select carryovers from across the country.

Degree of Difficulty: Moderate. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Monday Pick 6 from Fairplex rates a 6.

Possible Singles: Fri Guy (5th race), Lion Princess (8th race), Joshua’s Dream (9th race)

Jarrod Horak’s Fairplex Pick 6 analysis – Monday, September 28, 2009

Fairplex Race 5 (Clm-5k, 3up, 7f) #2 Fri Guy (5-2) was clearly 2nd best in a local route last time, and Garcia/Mitchell teamed up to win yesterday’s Hinds Invitational here. #10 Jack Flash (5-1) earned quality speed rating in local two lifetime tally under Pedroza. #1 Elusive Pleasure (8-5) drops and figures to flash speed from the rail.

Fairplex Race 6 (Clm-25k, 3up, 6.5f) #6 Storm Brave (5-1) looms an outside pace factor. Garcia/O’Neill teamed up for a pair of wins here yesterday. #5 Self Insured (3-1) sports best last speed rating, and Pedroza hops aboard the recent Spawr claim.

Fairplex Race 7 (Mcl-32k, 2yo, 7f) #9 Amore Di Aleyna (8-5) drops and removes the hood for a 20% layoff barn. Santiago Reyes sticks. #6 Easy Moment (5-2) wheels back quickly with Pedroza in the saddle, and he’s probably the one to catch.

Fairplex Race 8 (Clm-5k, f&m 3up, 6.5f) #2 Lion Princess (4-5) has run well in both local outings and looms a prominent throughout low odds threat under Pedroza. #3 Lady Bradbury (5-1) challenged my top early last time, and she ended up a rock solid 3rd that day.

Fairplex Race 9 (Str-Alw, 3up, 11f) #4 Joshua’s Dream (2-1) is a neck away from 4 straight wins. 2 for 2 on dirt and figures right there. #2 Willow O Wisp (3-1) got back on the beam in a Del Mar extended sprint last time. Coast to coast threat under Pedroza. #8 Souvenir Slew (4-1) ran 2nd at this course/distance last time. #7 Justdontcallmejeri (8-1) won here last out and always fires a nice shot for O’Neill. #3 Stylin Cat (10-1) exits a strong local win against softer.

Fairplex Race 10 (Mcl-32k, f&m 3up, 6f) #4 Romance Writer (5-2) debuts for the 55% Pedroza/Sise Team. Barn 22% debut maiden claiming. #10 Sheza Screamer (8-5) landed place behind a subsequent winner last time.
