Jarrod Horak’s Hollywood Park Pick 6 analysis – Sunday, December 6, 2009
Hollywood Race 4 (Clm-10k, 3up, 8.5f) #1 James Prior (5-1) has won 3 of his last 5 synthetic routes, and he graduated at this course/distance. #5 Turkish Victory (9-2) drops and owns the speed to succeed. Broke maiden here and will take them as far as he can. #6 Lainies Lion (7-2) goes 2nd off the shelf for Mitchell, who is 30% at current stand. #8 Changing (12-1) can compete here if able to run back to March 26th effort.
Hollywood Race 5 (MSW, 2yo, 6.5f) #7 Brace Yourselves (9-2) finished an even 3rd from intimidating rail in extended sprint bow. Hails from hot Paco Gonzalez barn. #1 Rachels Moon (6-1) and #6 Kuro (3-1) ext the same key Oak Tree event. The former is out of a 29% 2nd timer barn, and the latter can move forward 3rd off the shelf.
Hollywood Race 6 (OC-62.5/2x, 3up, 8T) #3 Great Siege (7-2) hails from the hot Hofmans barn, and Espinoza knows him well. He’s 1-1 here and should move up 3rd race back. #4 Art Currency (9-2) reunites with Rosario and was a good looking flat mile winner on Oct 10th.
Hollywood Race 7 (Clm-25/2L, 3up, 6f) #4 Malibu Canyon (3-1) drops and switches surfaces for 19% route/sprint barn. Broke maiden at this synthetic distance. Good looking drill on Nov 20th. #2 Boyoboy (4-1) is a NoCal invader dropping in class for Hollendorfer. Dons the hood and attracts Bejarano. Pace factor.
Hollywood Race 8 (Grade 3 Vernon O Underwood, 3up, 6f) #3 Delta Storm (5-2) finished a solid 4th from post 14 in BC Turf Sprint. 3-time synthetic winner sports a local bullet for this, and Mitchell is enjoying fine meet. #4 Noble Court (2-1) always fires at this course and distance. He won the last two times he went turf to synthetic.
Hollywood Race 9 (MSW, 2yo, 8T) #8 Came Aboard (3-1) is another live wire from the hot Paco Gonzalez barn. Sire is 12% first turf, and dam has thrown a pair of grass winners. #7 Boulder Creek (9-2) dons the hood and returns to the green for a 20% first route barn. #11 Albany Road (15-1) broke slow and raced wide in Keeneland bow. Clement is 24% 1st lasix and 21% first grass, and dam has thrown two turf winners.
