Hollywood Park Pick 6 – Nov 14th

Saturday’s (Day 2) program from Hollywood Park features the On Trust Handicap for state bred 3yo’s and up traveling seven and one-half furlongs on Cushion Track. Star Nicholas tries to defend his title, and he could do just that 3rd off the shelf.

Degree of Difficulty: Moderate. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Saturday Pick 6 from Hollywood rates a 6.

Possible Singles: Cardiff Giant (6th race), Korban (7th race), Enriched (8th race)

Jarrod Horak’s Hollywood Park Pick 6 analysis – Saturday, November 14, 2009

Hollywood Race 4 (Clm-25/2L, 3up, 6.5f) #3 Spartan Jet (6-1) is on the improve for profitable low profile barn. Espinoza hops aboard. #4 Abalanche (4-1) finished in front of Spartan Jet last time, and barn is 19% 2nd off the shelf. #5 Crash Landing (3-1) is back in for a tag, and Marty Jones excels with this type of layoff runner. #8 Major Smoke (7-2) earned quality speed ratings in both starts for Aguirre.

Hollywood Race 5 (Mcl-50k, CA-bred 2yo fil, 6.5f) #3 Creme Dela Suances (7-2) finished an even 4th in bow, and barn is a profitable 21% with 2nd timers. #1 Cool Princess (8-1) goes outside to inside after finishing a wide 7th at 5-1 in local June bow. #2 Can’t Topper (4-1) sports a local bullet for a profitable debut barn.

Hollywood Race 6 (Str-Alw, 2yo, 6f) #8 Cardiff Giant (9-2) exits sharp maiden win across town, and clear place finisher came back to score. #9 Buyer’s Remorse (9-2) necked my top in his latest outing.

Hollywood Race 7 (Alw-1x, 3up, 7f) #7 Korban (5-2) flees the rail and likes this distance. Gomez sticks. #6 Monolingual (9-5) has fired in all three outings and tries to keep it going 3rd off the shelf.

Hollywood Race 8 (On Trust Hcp, CA-bred 3up, 7.5f) #8 Enriched (5-1) could pay immediate dividends for new trainer O’Neill. Gomez here. #6 Star Nicholas (7-2) won this last year and could be sitting on a top 3rd off the shelf.

Hollywood Race 9 (MSW, 3up, 6T) #9 Horowitz (4-1) sports a bullet for sharp debut outfit. Decent turf breeding. #2 Itssultryinthecape (3-1) was nostrilized when last seen at Del Mar. Tries turf for fine layoff barn. #8 Exile (6-1) dons the hood and could show speed for Mandella.
