Hollywood Park Pick 6 – Nov 19th

Thursday’s (Day 5) program from Hollywood Park includes a pair of grass races. The favorite in the grass feature is French invader Loup Breton, who was competitive in group races and seems well spotted for Julio Canani. Got yesterday’s $748 Pick 6 home on the blog, so let’s go for two straight!

Pick 6 blog has been growing in popularity on a daily basis, and I would like to thank everyone for making this site a success. I will continue to feature the Southern California Pick 6, along with select carryovers from across the country.

Degree of Difficulty: Hittable. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Thursday Pick 6 from Hollywood rates a 4.5.

Possible Singles: Mi Chiamano Mimi (5th race), Mark of a Warrior (6th race), Msty Aly (8th race)

Jarrod Horak’s Hollywood Park Pick 6 analysis – Thursday, November 19, 2009

Hollywood Race 3 (MSW, 2yo fil, 8.5f) #5 Smoothe As Candy (4-1), a full sister to Chocolate Candy, improved 2nd time out and should keep going forward as distances increase. Rosario/Hollendorfer teamed up for two wins on Sunday. #2 Fashion Trend (9-5) ran well in dirt sprint bow and rallied for the show at a flat mile on the turf last time. Barn 33% with 2nd route runners.

Hollywood Race 4 (Mcl-32k, 2yo fil, 6f) #2 Letsgetitright (4-1) debuts for the fast starting Mike Puype, and he struck with local debut juvenile filly winner Foxy Jade on Nov 14th. #6 One Hot Topper (5-1) is out of 14% debut sire Old Topper, and dam has tossed five winners. Barn a profitable 13% with firsters. #7 Czechmyheart (5-1) is working well for a capable low profile outfit, and dam has tossed seven winners.

Hollywood Race 5 (OC-62.5/2x, f&m 3up, 6T) A pair of turf sprint wire jobs last week, and #1 Mi Chiamano Mimi (9-5) is the inside speed for Gomez/Mitchell. Dam has tossed a turf winner. Mike Puype is off to a good start here, and he has #2 Quisisana (2-1). The latter owns early-pressing speed, and Bejarano hops aboard as Gomez opts for my top.

Hollywood Race 6 (Mcl-32k, 2yo, 6f) #10 Mark of a Warrior (6-5) was nostrilized in Oak Tree bow, and barn is 37% with 2nd timers. Eddington offspring training here since early Sept. #8 Blackman Bay (4-1) broke slow and missed 3rd by a 1/2 length in $50k bow. Barn shows a profit with blinkers off and 2nd timers.

Hollywood Race 7 (Alw-3x, 3up, 9T) #2 Yorktown (6-1) has been shipped to the West Coast in search of firm turf. Rosario hops aboard the live Motion trainee. Expecting a big effort. #4 Loup Breton (7-5) kept some good company overseas, and Canani takes over the training duties. Gomez hops aboard. #1 Sporting Art (3-1) likes this distance for sharp layoff barn, and Bejarano is a 23% turf rider.

Hollywood Race 8 (Clm-8k, f&m 3up, 6f) #3 Msty Aly (3-1) is a 3-time local winner, and the early-pressing type enters in decent form. #7 Unusually Hot (5-2) drops 2nd off the shelf, and place finisher from last came back to score. #10 Paddlin Mud (4-1) is sharp and projects an outside speed trip.
