Hollywood Park Recap – Nov 18th (6 of 6)
Rosario had a big week last week, and he was at it again in the Wednesday opener with wire job Twenty Hawks ($17.20). Donald Warren saddled the winner.
Back to back favs go down in flames as Ashley’s Cutie ($9.20) was the stalk and pounce winner for Quinonez/Eurton.
Chalky start to the pick six as Quinonez gets a riding double aboard My Spanish Fling ($4.60). John Sadler was the winning conditioner. My 5-1 top Stanford Dolly rallied to finish a clear 2nd.
Riding double for Joel Rosario as he went all the way aboard Vienna firster Esmeralda’s Girl ($10.80). Note that Vienna also saddled favorite Call Me Dutchess, and that one was 3rd under Gomez.
3 for 3 following Life By RR’s ($5) wire job tally under Solis. This one was from the late Robert Frankel barn, and his assistant Humberto Ascanio was the trainer of record. My 12-1 contender Carnival Queen finished strongly to be 2nd best under Gomez.
4 for 4 after Budget Ticket single Bad Boy ($6.80) was along in time to nail High Standards in the 6th. Flores booted home the winner for Julio Canani.
Budget Ticket single Asanti ($3.40) was the prominent throughout winner of the 7th, and I’m alive on both tickets heading into the final leg. Gomez rode the winner for Paco Gonzalez. Need Victory Dash on the Big Ticket, and either Victory Dash or West Ruler on the Budget Ticket.
Victory Dash had every chance but settled for the show in the 8th. West Ruler ($3.60) rallied for the win under Bejarano, and the Budget Ticket comes through! 6 of 6 paid $748.80, and that marks the 4th successful pick six on this site since Labor Day!
