Hollywood Park Recap – Nov 19th
Ginello ($8) went all the way in the Thursday route opener under Michael Baze. Craig Dollase was the winning conditioner.
Coatcheck Girl ($2.80) ran down There Goes Gee Gee in the grassy 2nd. Bejarano booted home the Sadler trainee.
Harrisa ($14.60) got my suggested pick six tickets off on the wrong foot. The 2yo daughter of Afleet Alex was ridden by Martin Garcia, and David Hofmans was the winning conditioner.
I went with firsters in the 4th, but experienced runner Biden My Time ($7) got the job done for Valdez/Mullins.
Budget Ticket single Mi Chiamano Mimi ($4.20) wired the turf sprint 5th for Gomez/Mitchell.
Back to back Budget Ticket singles click as Mark of a Warrior ($3) wore down Driveliketiger. Riding double for Martin Garcia, and that’s two straight for Mitchell.
Loup Breton ($3.60) loved the fast pace and coasted to victory in the grass feature. Riding double for Gomez, and Julio Canani has a promising turf horse on his hands. My value top Yorktown was pouncing on the leaders in the stretch but had nowhere to go along the rail. Don’t know if he would have beaten the winner, but he was no worse than 2nd with clear sailing.
