Saturday (6-26-10) Hollywood Park Recap
Horses showing tactical speed fared best on Cushion Track. Turf played fair.
Another hat trick for the red hot Joel Rosario. Tyler Baze and Joe Talamo both booted home a pair.
Turning Top patiently sat behind longshot Princess Taylor and gradually wore that rival down to pick up her first Graded tally in the Beverly Hills Handicap for grassy fillies and mares.
Sunday (6-27-10) Hollywood Park Preview
A 9-race program is on tap for Sunday. Four turf races are on the docket including three in the pick six sequence. The feature race is the Robert K. Kerlan Memorial Handicap for turf sprinters and the speedy Unzip Me takes on boys. Let’s handicap a couple of the pick six events…
HOL 6 (Clm-32k, 3up, 7f) #5 Forethreeforeuclid (3-1) drops back in for a tag and returns to preferred synthetic footing. Hot jock Rosario hops aboard the versatile sort. #4 Circle Drive (7-2) likes this oval and has been knocking on the door. I like the rider switch to Martin Garcia. The Plays: #5 to win, Quinella 4-5
HOL 9 (MSW, f&m 3up, 8T) #7 Not Here (5-2) finished a solid 2nd in her synthetic sprint bow and the impressive winner Rapport and show finisher both came back to score. She is bred to route on turf and does not meet much. #9 Kaysa Deeya (12-1) earned a competitive Final Time Rating in latest local turf route outing. She dons the hood, switches to Tyler Baze, and sports a six furlong bullet for this. The Plays: #7 to win, $1 Super High Five 7-9/6-7-9/5-6-7-9/1-5-7-9/ALL ($80)
