Hollywood Recap – Nov 28th (5 of 6)

Dona Amelia ($5.80) kicked off the Saturday card with a stalk and pounce score for Berrio/Avila.

Facile tally in the 2nd for heavy fav Stunning Ally ($2.40). Quinonez guided the winner for Julio Canani.

Limestone Edge ($5.40) was the stalking winner of the 3rd for Garcia/Baffert.

Enough of that chalk dust as Brenthurst ($30.20) was the prominent throughout winner of the 4th under Pedroza. Janet Armstrong was the winning conditioner.

Pick 6 time, and out already after Alfarabi and Bridgetown failed to fire their best shots. Who’s Up ($21.80) stalked and pounced his way to victory in the Grade 3 Generous. Victor Espinoza rode the winner for Kathy Walsh.

Top pick Youthful Ambition ($10.20) got both tickets back on track in the 6th. Santiago Reyes booted home the winner for Vlad Cerin.

11-horse turf sprint, and I took a stand with 5-1 Dotsy Jean ($12.20)…bingo! Things worked out just fine, and Rosario booted home the winner for Marty Jones.

Ventura ($3.20) exuded class in a good looking win in the Grade 1 Matriarch. Garrett Gomez rode the winner for former Frankel assistant Humberto Ascanio. Tuscan Evening set the pace and held the place over Diamondrella.

Both tickets move forward in the conso chase after Cherryblossommiss ($6.60) got up for Bejarano/Sadler. Would have been nice if Scarlett’s Place could have held on at 12-1. Aromatherapy is worth following. She did not get the lead as expected from outside post. Stalked wide and made a move turning for home before flattening out.

No worries in the finale as my top two did just that. Again, the lower odds contender came out on top. Yodelen Dan ($5.60) wore down Craig’s Storm. Michael Baze scored for Jeff Mullins.

Got 5 of 6 on the Budget Ticket and Big Ticket. Conso came back $119.40.
