Jarrod Horak’s Oak Tree @ Santa Anita Pick 6 analysis – Sunday, November 8, 2009

Santa Anita Race 5 (MSW, CA-bred 3up, 6.5T) #3 Dohnster (6-1) was a good 2nd in lone downhill start in April. Hails from a profitable turf barn and retains Rosario. #4 Red Sun (2-1) landed place in Jan. bow but has not been seen since. Carla Gaines trainee has solid turf pedigree and is working well. Gaines also has In Excess firster #6 Alive For Six (8-1). #10 Hot Damon (7-2) is an Unusual Heat on turf, and Abrams shows a profit with 2nd timers. A head shy of 3rd after slow start in flat mile bow.

Santa Anita Race 6 (Clm-16k, 3up, 6f) #2 Copa De Plata (7-2) is back at claimed level, and Periban is a profitable 19% 2nd off the claim. 3rd versus $25k foes last time. #5 Ballistic Heat (3-1) goes for hat trick. Bejarano hops aboard the Kruljac trainee. #6 Bilo (4-1) scurries back up the ladder after running well in $10k return.

Santa Anita Race 7 (Str-Alw, 3up, 8T) #4 Paddy’s Magic (5-2) exits sharp maiden win at 6.5f on synthetic. Barn 29% first grass and 40% with his recent graduates trying winners for the first time. #5 Megillah (2-1) exits a close 3rd down the dip, and Kruljac is enjoying a banner meet.

Santa Anita Race 8 (Cascapedia, 3yo fil, 7f) #8 Emmy Darling (9-2) fits the winning 7f profile as an early-pressing type breaking from an outer post. She figures to track #1 Kays and Jays (8-5), who seems best on dirt/turf. The fresh miss could prove an elusive target for Rosario/Mitchell.

Santa Anita Race 9 (OC-25/1x, CA-bred f&m 3up, 6.5T) #8 Victory Dancer (6-1) dons the hood, turns back, and reuintes with Gomez. Could finish full of run down the dip. #13 Hotrod Kelly (4-1) packs a decent stretch kick and gets plenty of pace to chase. #6 East Ashley (7-2) is 4 for 6 on the turf and should make presence felt throughout 2nd off the shelf. Meets other speed.

Santa Anita Race 10 (Mcl-25k, f&m 3up, 6.5f) #1 Flying Information (4-1) is back at claimed level for Gomez/Mitchell. #14 Glory Forever (9-2) set a soft pace and held the place in 1st start for a tag last time. Prominent throughout once again.
