Saturday Pick 6 From Del Mar – August 6 (Day 14)

Friday Del Mar Recap – Aug 5 (Day 13)

The Thursday speed friendly track disappeared with no Polytrack wire jobs on Friday. Patient runners best on turf.

Rafael Bejarano, Joel Rosario, and Joe Talamo each booted home a pair. Gary Sherlock saddled two winners.

On the ticket front I tabbed three Primary (Lease of Life, Nice Meidel) winners and one Secondary (Checkmark, Brooklyn Rose) winner.

Saturday’s Pick 6 from Del Mar includes four Polytrack races and two grass events. The feature race is the Grade 1 Clement L Hirsch for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on synthetic footing. Morning line favorite Switch frequently fires Exacta shots and she has been very competitive against the cream of the crop (Blind Luck, Havre De Grace) in her recent losses. Her uncoupled stablemate Zazu steps up to face older and is a solid contender as well. Partly cloudy skies are expected with a high temperature of 72.

Degree of Difficulty: Moderate. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Saturday Pick 6 from Del Mar rates a 5.

Possible Singles: Quick Enough (5th race), Preferred Mandate (9th race)

Saturday Pick 6 Tickets

Note that the Standard Ticket shows how much it would cost if you used all of the contenders on one ticket. The multiple Primary/Secondary ticket strategy saves money and allows you to put your strong handicapping opinions to the test.
