Saturday’s Santa Anita Park Recap – Jan 26
Wet-fast (sealed) main track flattered forwardly placed runners in sprints (2 wire jobs). Late runners nabbed both flat mile races, and the lone 8.5f event was captured by a pace presser. Two stakes races remained on the turf (course good), and the winners were mid-pack type Tiz Flirtatious (8f) and a prominent throughout runner John Scott (9f).
Rafael Bejarano and Garrett Gomez both booted home back-to-back stakes winners, and Martin Garcia brought home two on the afternoon as well.
On the ticket front I tabbed two Primary (Tiz Flirtatious, Teddy’s Promise) winners and two Secondary (John Scott, Hail Mary) winners.
